Itinerary
1. Arrive Berlin
Be transferred to your hotel before getting to know your fellow travellers at a Welcome Reception later this evening.
2. Berlin
Explore Berlin on a guided tour today. Visit Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz. See the Reichstag, Berlin’s parliamentary building, and the ruins of the infamous Berlin Wall. You’ll also visit Checkpoint Charlie, the former crossing point between East and West Germany. Afterwards, enjoy free time to further explore.
3. Berlin, Potsdam
Today’s selection of activities offer a deeper discovery of Berlin. Afterwards, take an excursion to Potsdam, once the residence of Prussian kings. Here, you’ll enjoy a tour of the former summer palace of Frederick the Great, Sanssouci. The largest World Heritage-listed site in Germany, the palace of Sanssouci is surrounded by extensive gardens and parklands, which are a delight to explore.
4. Berlin, Dresden, Prague
Travel to Dresden, the capital and royal residence for the Kings of Saxony. Once known as the ‘Florence of the North’, the city boasted cultural splendour before being destroyed by the controversial Allied aerial bombing during World War II. The impact of the bombing and 40 years of East German socialist influence has considerably changed the face of the city. Enjoy a walking tour here, then continue to Prague.
5. Prague
The capital of the Czech Republic lures you with its millennia-long history. Begin your tour at Prague Castle, where you'll take in breathtaking views of the city. Then, stroll over Charles Bridge on the way to the Old Town Square, where you’ll see the incredible 600-year-old Astronomical Clock. Tonight, dinner awaits at La Rotonde restaurant.

7. Prague, Velké Bílovice, Budapest, Embark Ship
Travel to Velké Bílovice and savour a light lunch in a traditional wine cellar. Continue to Budapest and board your luxury river ship. After dinner, enjoy a magical twilight cruise.

Enjoy a guided tour of Budapest. Re-board your ship and sail to Vienna.
9. Vienna
This afternoon, arrive in Vienna, Austria’s capital, home to striking architecture, a rich classical musical culture and vibrant cafes. Take in many of the city’s most important landmarks during a tour along the Ringstrasse, Vienna’s famous ring boulevard officially opened by Emperor Franz Joseph I in 1865. You’ll also enjoy a guided walk to St Stephen’s Cathedral.

11. Dürnstein, Melk
Your ship arrives at Dürnstein, then later continues cruising to Melk. Enjoy a selection of activities in both locations.

From Linz, a number of activities are on offer today. Both touring options will then conclude in Passau, where you will re-board your river ship. Otherwise, remain on board and cruise to Passau, where you will enjoy a walking tour.

Choose your sightseeing in Nuremberg. Back on board, sample some delicious freshly baked gingerbread while cruising the Main-Danube Canal.
15. Bamberg
This morning your ship will arrive in the fascinating World Heritage-listed city of Bamberg, another of the few German cities that wasn’t destroyed during World War II. Explore the Old Town with a local expert to discover a range of historic churches and buildings, including the town hall on the River Regnitz.

17. Miltenberg
Witness the skilful art of glass-blowing on board as you cruise towards the pretty Franconian town of Miltenberg this morning, where you may select an experience.
18. Rüdesheim, Andernach
Dock in Rüdesheim and set out on your chosen activity. Later, your ship’s Sun Deck offers the perfect vantage point from which to view the scenery of the Rhine Gorge as you cruise the Rhine’s most beautiful stretch. Onwards, at Andernach, disembark for an exclusive experience.
19. Cologne
Arrive in the Gothic city of Cologne, centred around the twin spires of its famous cathedral. Here, choose from a number of experiences on offer.
20. Amsterdam
Today, sail into the beautiful Dutch capital, Amsterdam, and join your chosen experience. In the evening, come together for the Captain’s Farewell Dinner.
21. Amsterdam, Disembark Ship, Ghent, Paris
Disembark your ship for the final time. Travel by coach through Belgium. Arrive in Ghent and enjoy a light lunch while cruising along the city’s canals, before arriving in Paris.
22. Paris, Versailles
A local expert will take you on a tour through the beautiful city of Paris today. See the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, plus see the iconic Eiffel Tower. Afterwards, discover the splendour behind Louis XIV’s transformation of the Palace of Versailles.
23. Paris
Today, explore Paris your way with a choice of sightseeing. In the evening, enjoy a meal and a memorable show at the Moulin Rouge. Delight in this iconic Parisian cabaret, captured in the famous paintings of Toulouse-Lautrec.
24. Depart Paris
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
