Itinerary
1. Arrive Paris
From grand cities filled with glorious architecture to enchanting fairytale villages and spectacular valleys, this journey is set to be simply magnificent. Arrive in Paris, the City of Light. You will be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception tonight as anticipation builds for the trip ahead.
2. Paris, Versailles
Enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour of Paris. Afterwards, discover the splendour behind Louis XIV’s transformation of the Palace of Versailles.
3. Paris
This evening, after your chosen activity, enjoy a meal and a memorable show at the Moulin Rouge. Delight in this iconic Parisian cabaret, captured in the famous paintings of Toulouse-Lautrec.
4. Paris, Ghent, Amsterdam, Embark Ship
Travel by coach through northern France and into Belgium. Arrive in Ghent and enjoy a light lunch while cruising along the city’s canals. Continue to Amsterdam and board your ship. After dinner on board, you may like to explore at your own pace.
5. Amsterdam
Spend today on your selected activity. In the evening, enjoy a Gala Welcome Dinner on board with your fellow travellers.
6. Cologne, Bonn, Andernach
Enter Germany and cruise into Cologne, a city centred around the twin spires of its famous cathedral. Here, your day takes one of two paths on your chosen activity. Later, rejoin your ship in Bonn and cruise to Andernach where a special experience awaits.
7. Rüdesheim
Approach the most beautiful stretch of the Rhine River today, where crumbling ruins cling to rocky cliffs and rolling hillsides are marked with perfectly planted vineyards. Your ship later docks at the town of Rüdesheim.
8. Miltenberg
Witness the skilful art of glass-blowing on board as you cruise towards the pretty Franconian town of Miltenberg this morning. After the day’s activity, return to your ship for a delicious dinner.

10. Bamberg
This morning your ship will arrive in World Heritage-listed Bamberg, one of the few German cities that wasn’t destroyed during World War II. Here, you will explore the Old Town with a guide to discover a range of historic churches and buildings, including the town hall on the River Regnitz. Following your tour, rejoin your ship to cruise onto the Main-Danube Canal. Having taken 32 years to construct, the canal links the North and Black seas and is recognised as a feat of modern engineering.
11. Nuremberg
Choose your sightseeing in Nuremberg. Back on board, sample some delicious freshly baked gingerbread while cruising the Main-Danube Canal.

20. Prague
The day is dedicated to an exceptional experience just outside of the city.
21. Prague, Dresden, Berlin
Travel to Dresden, the capital and royal residence for the Kings of Saxony. Once known as the ‘Florence of the North’, the city boasted cultural splendour before being completely destroyed by the controversial Allied aerial bombing in World War II. The impact of the bombing and 40 years of East German socialist influence has considerably changed the face of the city. Enjoy a walking tour here, then continue to Berlin.
22. Berlin
Explore Berlin on a guided tour today. Visit Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz. See the Reichstag, Berlin’s parliamentary building, and the ruins of the infamous Berlin Wall. You’ll also visit Checkpoint Charlie, the former crossing point between East and West Germany. Afterwards, enjoy free time to further explore.
23. Berlin, Potsdam
After your selected sightseeing, take an excursion to Potsdam, once the residence of Prussian kings. Here, you’ll enjoy a tour of the former summer palace of Frederick the Great, Sanssouci. The largest World Heritage-listed site in Germany, the palace of Sanssouci is surrounded by extensive gardens and parklands, which are a delight to explore.
